We had a fantastic time last Saturday, taking our super RDA ponies over to Clandon Park ahead of our huge fundraising event on the Sunday.
Eight of our ponies (Applejack, Hector, Freckles, Tilly, Bonnie, Shamrock, DC and Maggie) were hoof perfect as they undertook a test run of our 3 mile lead rein Sponsored Ride route with their riders - who share them when they aren't doing RDA work.
They loved the change of scenery and had a wonderful time hacking through the beautiful fields, woodlands and rewilded areas of the 1,000 acre estate Clandon Park. Our volunteers turned up in force (thank you so much) on a beautiful but hot day - so they got just as much of a work out as the ponies.
The riders loved it - and even got the chance to pop some of the smaller jumps. Huge thank you to those who did additional fundraising as well - this generated over £400 for HB&L RDA - great job!
Thanks to the Earl and Countess of Onslow who are such huge supporters of our charity that they support us putting on our fundraising Sponsored Rides twice a year.
